The Lodge has six existing Cottages around a Pool with a Central Lounge, Kitchen with Dining area and a Lapa. The brief was to design a venue to cater for Private Functions but that can also be utilized as a Game View Bar and Restaurant when not booked for private functions. A building that can be used as a Conference Room or Chapel must also form part of the facility.
When approaching the facility from the parking area a Fire Pit in an enclosed area will reflect light on the East facade of the building. The Conference facility and Restaurant open out onto a Garden Court where guests can be welcomed before entering the facilities. The Game View Bar was placed on the first floor to enhance the view over the waterhole on the South-West side of the building.
