Parabis Call Centre
The Point, Brooklyn, Pretoria.
Parabis call centre staff operate in teams consisting of eight persons. The workstations were grouped in clusters of eight. Apart from training and some personal administration, their operating system is paperless which reduced the size of workstations drastically.
Ample secondary circulation between the grouped stations allows movement of team leaders and operators without disturbing other operators at their stations. Main circulation and fire escape routes were planned taking account of the number of occupants.
A reception area with a meeting room as well as managing offices and a training facility also forms part of the facility. Adequate pause areas with kitchenettes were incorporated.
The building's existing air conditioning system was extended and an additional fire escape added to accommodate the additional number of occupants. The building's toilet facilities were adequate for the number of occupants.
