Landmark Building, Lynnwood, Pretoria.
As their operation is paperless the size of workstations is determined by the required personal space and sound insulation applied. The layout was determined by the existing buildings width and columns. Blocks with rows of ten stations were the most economical layout in the space.
Ample secondary circulation between the rows allows movement of team leaders and operators without disturbing other operators at their stations. Main circulation and fire escape routes were planned taking account of the number of occupants.
A reception area with meeting rooms as well as managing offices also forms part of the facility. An adequate pause area with vending machines were incorporated. A staff canteen is also available in the building.
The buildings existing air conditioning system and fire escapes are adequate to accommodate the number of occupants on this floor. The buildings toilet facilities are adequate for the total number of occupants in the building.
